  back when i was a jw i had to wear pants when i was in public.

  i like being without pants but those pesky elders always made me wear pants.

  life would have been so much better for me had i been allowed to feel the breeze from not wearing pants.

  For those of you who are wondering who I am, try reading the bible. On the other hand, don't bother, that book makes no sense. I'm the son of god. As for who I use to type this stuff out for me, I'm really truly suprised nobody has been able to guess it yet. Reread some of my posts. I've thrown in hints at various places. Some are more direct than others but I would have sworn that someone would have figured it out by now. I was really dropping some big ones in chat the other night that combined with various nonreligous posts I've made should be more than enough to point in the right direction. Oddly enough, noone has even come close yet.

  Computer Graphics Question - Flash MX

  i'm hoping someone will be able to help me.

  yeah yeah, i'm perfect and should know everything but i just haven't been paying much attention with macromedia flash mx.. i've imported two images (.jpg's) to the stage and am wanting to do a nice fade between the two.

  i can do a kind of sloppy one if i change the brightness or tint to match the background and then tween to it.

  Well, development tools aren't exactly my strongest point, at all, but from what I've seen, heard, and read the .Net stuff is pretty impressive. What I can say from experience, however, is that if I had to choose between anything from Sun or Microsoft for a networking enviroment I'll take MS any day of the week. Believe it or not (and despite what has been posted around the net) dad and I are actually very pro-MS. They didn't get as big and powerful as they are by making crappy products. Sure, Windows has its various flaws but in comparison to any other OS it really hasn't had more than its fair share of problems and on top of everything its VERY easy to do stuff it. I know that may not exactly be the most important thing to those out there that are computer savy but those of you who are very computer savy and want to control an OS down to the kernel level aren't exactly what Microsoft is worried about. Not only that but most of the Windows stuff is fairly standardized across the board. Just looking at it from a support level I'd much rather have a group of plain beige boxes that don't have much variation over dozens of various Linux flavored boxes out there.

  As for the browser wars that MSIE won by a mile, I absolutely love IE and wouldn't trade it for Navigator for anything. Just in my own pesonal observations IE is quicker, more stable, and MUCH easier to write code for.

  Don't worry Simon, .Net will always be better than any Sun stuff.

  Hey Comf, I had a question, I answered where the light was brighter, it got answered here. Thanks for all your help. I think I might go post to one of slightly the older threads where the superiority of Linux and Windows for server enviroments was being debated after I'm done here. Does that fall under the realm of technical novice that is ok to discuss here? Also, how to do a simple fade is not an advanced question. Its actually very basic in Flash. I'm just learning that program so I don't know how to do quite a bit of stuff in it. Syn's answer certainly wasn't anything advanced but it was certainly enough to get me by and his help (as in giving me an answer instead of blasting me for asking a basic question) was greatly appreciated. I apologize if my looking in a more convenient place was a waste of time for you when you could be reading many other threads but at least one other person here was kind enough to answer a Flash newbie's basic question.

  Syn, I've seen pornos with guys with two weenies. That's just weird. So, sorry, but you won't be getting two weenies. If you happen to notice any growth (as in it gets bigger, not as in you looked at Jennifer Lopez) then you'll see my token of appreciation for answering a technical question that may have been more appropriate on a Macromedia forum but was more convenient for me to ask here. You saved me time and energy so I could actually do more work instead of finding the more appropriate forum, registering there, getting to know people so that I don't offend a new group by asking a rather simple question about something they're quite knowledgable about.

  Back when I was a JW I had to wear pants when I was in public. I like being without pants but those pesky elders always made me wear pants. Life would have been so much better for me had I been allowed to feel the breeze from not wearing pants. There were many times when snobby elders and their wives would treat me badly for not wearing pants. Never mind the fact that I weighed 500 pounds at the time and was a really disgusting site to see. There were numerous times that complete strangers would point at me and say "Hey, that fat guy needs some pants" but they weren't JW's so who cares about their sense of decency, I didn't want to wear pants.

  Now that I've left the JW's I never wear pants anymore. I run around town with no pants on and even though I've lost a few hundred pounds quite a few people still don't like looking at my hairy bum (did I mention I don't always wipe after making a deposit in the porcelain bank?). It doesn't matter though because I was so traumatized by the elders forcing me to wear pants that I'll never wear them again. How dare anyone try to make me wear pants when I went through such a traumatic experience with the elders making me wear pants!!!!! I couldn't care less about the fact that not wearing pants creates quite an uncomfortable atmosphere for the people that I visit in their own homes. I have the right to do whatever I please even if it means making a complete fool of myself and offending people with my naked bum.

  I also find the idea that when I am a guest in someone else's home and they try to tell me to wear pants to be highly offensive! They can't tell me to wear pants in their house. I'm also highly offended when they or someone else who visits them tries to put a newspaper under my unwiped bum when I try to sit on their nice furniture that they've spent quite a bit of time and money to make. What gives them or their designated agents the right to stop me from smearing poo all over their wonderful furniture that's more comfortable and beautiful than any other furniture. Sure, there is other furniture out there but I like their furniture the best so I should be able to sit on it without my pants on and smear whatever I like because hey, this is a free country dag nabbit!

  You think this whole bit sounds stupid and pointless? Have you read some of the other threads that have been posted lately? Care to explain how mine is any different?

  Tiring of Anti-JW causes?

  i'm kind of burnt out from being pissed off at jws.

  tonight, while talking to a friend who left at the same time i did (several years ago), we both spoke of our apathy towards the whole anti-witness movement.

  recently i helped in several anti-jw actions, and i thought i made a difference, although it was a pittens compared to others who have come before.

  Yes yes, very well, I'm looking where the light is better. I've come out and said I'm just too lazy to start posting somewhere else, much like numerous other people who have posted computer questions here. I don't recall others doing and getting blasted for it so I didn't think it would be too out of place. So instead of making a joke of someone asking for help how about actually helping me? Is it too much to ask that someone be kind enough to share some help?

  Is there anything that could make you go back?

  is there anything that could make you go back?.

  what do you think, is there any change of belief or change of circumstance that could make you return to the jw fold?.

  i cant see anything that could make me go back,but i was thinking mabye some of you religious types would go back if they changed some doctrinal things,or if they stopped banning blood.. how about if a family member was dying and hoped to see you in paradise would you go back for a while just to make them feel happy?

  Yes, Comf but I already post here and don't to various Macromedia groups. Besides, from what I remember I'm pretty sure I've seen quite a few other computer related questions here in the past.
